We buy whole hides from three family tanneries in Tuscany and Northern Portugal, chosen one by one for grain and depth.
The last
Each pair is pulled over a wooden last and left to rest for days, so the leather keeps its shape for life.
The welt
A Goodyear welt is stitched by hand-guided machine, which means your sole can be replaced again and again.
The finish
Burnished with wax and a soft cloth until the toe has a deep, warm glow that keeps getting richer.
